Random
I chose the first picture of me and my friend Sarah because for some weird reason we can never get a good picture together, but we did this weekend. The second picture is of the mud at the boardwalk, I noticed how much different it looks in July to October.

Kindness
I chose these pictures to represent the kindness of the students here at Westfield State. In the first picture you can see Hannah sharing cookies with Caitlin. In the second picture you see Hannah holding the door for someone.
WSU
I chose these two pictures because my favorite part of my campus life is the foliage and well designed buildings.
Bad Weather
Both these pictures have been enhanced to show bad weather. The first was taken while I was home this past weekend. It's not noticeable but it was thundering and lightening. The second picture was taken while i was leaving my English class in Juniper park. If you tilt your head to the side it looks like a heart.

All about me
These two pictures are well suited for a representative of me. The First picture (of my Boyfriend and I) was taken near a beach in Plymouth, MA, which is very close to where I live. The Second photo is a picture of the boardwalk in my hometown, Sandwich, MA. I grew up jumping off this boardwalk every summer.

Tall, Grande, Venti, Trenta
I believe that Starbucks way of advertising on Facebook,
publicizes more than any other type of advertising. Obviously mostly everyone
in America knows what Starbucks is, with the Starbucks page on Facebook it
creates a way to reach out to people who are more involved with this social
media site, it also helps to branch out to younger consumers. Advertising
anything on Facebook is a great way to get more publicity, seeing as how they
have more than 1.2 billion member profiles. The Facebook community for
Starbucks has more than 27 million members, which is a larger population than
most small countries. Starbucks is known for its strong coffee flavor, pricey products,
and its friendly employees. Starbucks gets its Facebook members involved by
running contests among cities in the U.S. and Canada. The most recent
contest was to see which city was most involved, which ever city got the most votes, got the first release of this year’s pumpkin spice latte.

Distraction
There is no doubt that social media effects the way we interact today. Social media for me is a good way to keep in touch with friends and family. I tend to find myself messaging someone on Facebook if I don't have his or her number in my phone. This is also the biggest distraction for me; we live in a world where we have technology around us at all times. When we walk around with our cell phones we are constantly connected and updated on other people’s lives through social media sites. Usually when we think about advances in technology it is considered a positive thing, but technology has its negative effects too. Often times I find that I can’t concentrate on homework, or other priorities because of the distraction of my phone, whether it’s my friends texting me or my Instagram and twitter feed. I notice the social media as a distraction. Another negative effect of social media is the cyber bullying. Kids all over the world are susceptible to this; some kids just aren't knowledgeable enough to ignore it. Privacy is another negative effect of social media, sometimes I feel like people use Facebook or Twitter to broadcast all the little details of their lives. Social media sites open up your life to strangers, nothing is private.

Greetings
Hi I'm
Britney Bazinet, I am currently a freshman at Westfield State University as an
undeclared major. My home is on Cape Cod, where I am the eldest of five. I
chose Westfield to get away from the Cape, but close enough to still see my
friends and family.
I graduated from Sandwich high School in June 2013. While I was in high school
I participated on the cheerleading, cross country, and track teams. Summers on
the Cape were short and crowded; the most annoying thing was the tourists who
don’t know how to drive.
All the time
I have lived on the Cape I was actually never appreciative of it, I never knew
why people liked vacationing there so often. Now being away from my home I am
starting to realize why everyone loves it so much. I miss rollerblading on the
canal, being able to drive five minutes down the road to go to the beach, and
pushing my friends off the boardwalk while they aren't paying attention.
Oddly enough I think the thing I really miss the most is my job, I am a hostess at a pub, it’s nothing special, but the people I work with are so caring and genuinely very nice people to work with.
